Non-stop fun, and my 3,4, & 6 year old can play! My wife and I play after the kids go to bed and play our friends all around the USA, and how cool is it to play people from all over the world with the WiFi option. The opportunity to unlock more bikes, cars, and characters will keep your interest in this game for a very very long time. It is a must have for all Mario Kart fans from the 64.

Our family got a Wii this past fall, when we found a stellar deal on one on Craigslist, and we gave it to ourselves as a family Christmas gift. Since then we have been Wii fanatics and have been enjoying and sharing this game system with our family and friends. We love toting it around with us to take to family functions and seeing our family (old and young alike) enjoying a little Wii time with us.

All of the games that we have gotten have been great, but the Mario Kart Wii game has been in hot rotation ever since the Nintendo company contacted us and asked if they could send us some products to try. It is so bad right now that we are fighting over who can get a turn to play it and my son is talking about this game to anyone who will listen… and I do mean anyone!

This game comes with a steering wheel that has a spot in it for you to snap in your Wii controller. Once you have snapped the controller into place, you can begin using it just as you would a steering wheel and you can use different characters, cars, and racetracks for racing.

I am not big on driving games (probably because I hate driving), but I am LOVING this game and it has different levels of difficulty for every level or age in the family. You can play as a single player, against other players, and you can even play on the internet against people from all over the world. From a learning standpoint, this game even shows you where on the globe your opponent lives, adding another great teaching moment for kids.

I can’t rave about this game enough! The game has enough secret codes and levels that I am sure we will be enjoying this game for a long time and it is a game that we each enjoy equally

Let’s face it, people who like tattoos are always looking for the next amazing tattoo design to set themselves apart from the crowd and although this might seem like an easy task, anyone who has been through it knows differently. Sometimes it can just hit you, you see something in a picture or in a museum or even in a movie and bingo! that’s it - you know straight away that this is your next tattoo. If you’re one of the lucky ones (those who can draw beautifully from imagination) you can scribble it down and take your own amazing tattoo design to your tattooist and within no time at all your dream is a reality. However, most of us are not that lucky and whilst we have willing and creative minds which think up all these amazing tattoo designs we have weak and stubborn fingers who insist on not getting the picture (literally!).

Body art has been with us from the year dot when ancient cave men used it not only for camouflage but also to mark themselves and their tribesmen out from other rival tribes. Indeed, the word ‘ tattoo’ is derived from the ancient Tahitian word tattau meaning to mark. Since then tattoos have evolved into a serious art form and most people are into their body art because it is beautiful and because it makes a personal statement about themselves. Choosing your amazing tattoo design can be a minefield though. Just think of all the Chinese symbols for example. Do you know what they mean - and moreover, do you expect your tattooist to know? A very good friend of mine had a Chinese symbol tattoo done a couple of years back. It was a beautifully intricate design on his left shoulder with symbols surrounded by oriental dragons and magnificent colours. He was born in the year of the dragon and his wife was born under the sign of the dog. The symbol was suppose to say something like ‘ dragon will honour dog in life and death. However he has since discovered that although it does say that it could also be construed as dragon will curse dogs honour in life and death.

The same is true of Celtic or Egyptian symbols, and if you fancy something a bit out of the ordinary it’s best to do loads of research first and be sure your symbol says exactly what you want it to say. Remember, your tattoo artist is just that, an amazing artist - NOT an expert in all sorts of ancient scripts and symbols!!

When you know it’s time for another tattoo (or indeed when you’ve taken the decision to have your first) it is wise to take some time and look into various styles and designs and also think hard about where on your body you want to have it done. I know some women who have had amazing tattoos designed and inked all around their belly buttons only to discover that when they are pregnant (and subsequently left with stretch marks) the fabulous butterfly looks just a bit less fabulous than it did on a tanned and taut abdomen! Also, think about it from an employment point of view. Like it or not, a tattoo is not always viewed favourably by prospective employers. This is not such a problem for males, however lots of women get tattoos around their ankle or lower leg and, if in a professional capacity you need to wear a smart skirt suit, then it could make things just a little bit difficult.

Consider also, that your tattoo will be with you for life. Now, I know this is always the argument against having a tattoo, especially when it’s your first one, however it is a valid one. You must be committed to the design you choose as it will be with you for a very long time. In my opinion, it’s best to steer clear of the ‘fashionable’ tattoo styles, the ones that come in fad’s and disappear a year or two later leaving your skin very ‘last season’! Choose something that means something to you, something that has a little personal story behind it. Then, when people remark on your tattoo and ask about it (and they will!) you have something interesting to say about it and about yourself too.

i bought two of these at walmart, a black one and a pink one for my wife. and they’re great kinda hard to put on but you’ll get it. they feel very comfortable in my hands and soft. they came with usb charging cord and what’s cool about mine is that they change color. the only little problem with the pink one is that it has a weird smell kinda like ruber but just the pink one. weird huh? well hope this helps, thank you.

It protects well against sweaty hands, dirt, and in case u drop ur controller. but for mine, i had to cut pieces of it off in order to use the joy stick more freely. at times when using the joy stick part of the controller, it would get in contact of the silicone pad slowing the action down. but its worth it for the price.

Product didnt fit right at first but after adjusting it and using the controller, the skin laid on very well. Happy with purchase.

Babe Didrickson Zaharias was a phenomenal athlete. This Texan ran, jumped, rode horses, and played basketball and baseballwith tremendous flair.

In the Olympic tryouts in 1932, she won five first places in track and field events. In the games of that year in Los Angeles, she won a gold medal in the womens 80 meter hurdles, a gold medal in the javelin throw, and a silver medal in the high jump.

After the Olympics, Zaharias turned to golf. Although she started from scratch, she won the National Womens Amateur and the British Womens Amateur.

The press hailed her as a natural athlete. They often referred to as an automatic champion.

But the real story behind Zaharias fairy-tale success was her painstaking diligence. Her success came from studied repetition. In every sport she undertook, she was methodical, deliberate, and persistent. She was neither natural nor automatic.

When, for example, she played golf for the first time, she did not automatically master the game. Instead she studied the game carefully, covering all its complex skill sets, under the tutelage of the finest golf teacher she could find. She looked at all the elements of the golf swing, broke it down into parts, then put it all together in a fluid movement.

Besides using an analytical approach to understand the game, Zaharias also locked the information into her motor nervous system through exhaustive practice. She would spend as many as 12 hours a day on the golf course, hitting as many as a thousand balls. Her hands would often becomes so sore that she could hardly grip her club. She stopped only long enough to tape up her hands before picking up the club again.

Zaharias learned to play golf the right way. She started out by hiring an exceptional teacher. She analyzed each part of the golf swing then put them all together in a fluid motion. She practiced for about 12 hours a day. She exercised self-discipline and self-sacrifice. And she didnt doubt herself. Her previous successes had created an enduring self-confidence. She believed that if she applied herself she would be a golf champion. She proved this belief true.

Zaharias took a risk. She risked her reputation as an athlete by trying something new. She also risked the time and money it cost her to perfect her new sport.

Above all, she was methodical in the way she went about inventing herself as a champion golfer. She chose a gifted teacher, studied all aspects of the game, and put her new knowledge into practice, converting theory into motor learning, coordination, and stamina.

I used to ‘only’ paint sad women. Long flowing hair of women looking towards the sea. People would always ask me, Why?

What is interesting about ‘happy’? I would always reply.

Sheeze… a box of kleenex and a good romantic tragedy, what could be better? Yes I know, I am a bit of a drama queen. Yes! that is me… I confess. But without drama there is no passion! My paintings, sculptures, poems and stories are all about passion and drama. Sometimes it truly wares me out, I confess to that as well. Yet, there is simply no other way to paint or sculpt or write in my mind except to feel things intensely. Look at the art in your doctors office…. you may like it but I just think, EWWW! It is all completely non threatening and BORING! I do paint, sculpt and write some happy stuff though so don’t get your panties in a bunch. A good laugh or a painting of hope, yes of course they have their place in the art-world… I guess.

So now for your entertainment, get out your kleenex….

In Every Tear

In Every Tear there stands a scorn
committed to loves past and rivers wasted
Skies gloom and focus on a generation of madness
and darkness covers the hue
that could have saved us

The petals of contentment
whiten in place
deceiving the masses
and even their own minds

As noon breaks -all is well
the commitment of the silver lining
maintains
that contentment is just a state of mind

So we weave back into our cubicles
and perceive
the muted consequences

Memories That Burn

Pardon my staring
at dreams going by
unguarded moments
and mirrors that fly

Each time I’ve relished
the winged in a word
a moon full of heartbeats
and memories that burn

Pardon my staring
I thought that I knew you
Your eyes toast a signal
to fly through the loops

Yet your chalice seems empty
your frown can be heard
I thought that I knew you
yet pause… I’m unsure

Moments I play on
secrets I hold
who challenges teardrops
if you cover your soul?

Eyes On Queens

Her excuses were of frailty
like any other soul that breaks
All the ones that complicate
just to find some sense of dignity
search out
the eyes that fall on queens.

Exposed

You expose me
you over expose me
and I can’t hide.
It’s dripping, the water
and it’s all I can hear
or the footsteps
or are they?
Who knocks at the door?
A breath uncommon
yet silently clear
raging
for no apparent reason.
Children are calling
and the movers are here
you hold me
silently
’til I manage on my own
to expose me
and everything
you thought might happen
I take back within my own control

————————————–

Who You Are

It is your soul that plunges me into passion.
Not the things you worry about.
It is your tenderness that makes me sing.
It is your gentleness that makes me cry.
And the thing you worry about
I never noticed.

—————————————-

She Spoke Freely

She spoke freely
past my soul and through me
Privy to a scheme
I could only wish did not include me.
Through the window
from where I just saw her
it was clear
she somehow knew me.

Of all the adventures
I could have taken
of little mud houses
and leaves afloat in rivers
on rainy days in the mountains
of all the songs sung
yet
a subtle speck
grew in my eye.

I walked in long dark spaces
reached out
to find my way
and at the end
alas
she spoke freely
of an unraveled me.

I was in pieces
unable to collect myself.
Disconnected soul
said please
help me.
Help me to find my little mud houses
and the leaves afloat in rivers
on rainy days in the mountains
and songs to be sung.
She turned me to a narrow direction
and prodded me on
The spaces you thought were gone
I see
they have always been there for you
all you need to do is accept it.

Scars and Wings

I will sleep beneath my scars, and they above me,
Somewhere in-between we shall touch:
Oh, God, oh, God, who knows our minds
And heartsour thoughts, our damaged brows,
Our-sour mouths, troubled stomachs
Where is the sound body? You once gave me
Give it back please, it had wings you see,
And now I have only scarsscars, scars
Scars to offer Thee.

Oh, God, oh, God, how I love Thee
I would take death tomorrow, to have them back,
To wear a crown of victory, on my head.

Old Jealousy

When I was a kid, I asked my Grandpa, What is old jealousy? because once I had heard him mention it, in passingYoud not understand, go about your way, and play. He told me in no kind way. Later on that very same day, I heard he say to my mother, When I was young, I had not the courage to ask such questions (to grownup), as does your son, and now Im too old and feeble I suppose, nor the opportunity have I, to accomplish the power to do whatever. I remembered that clearly now, now that Im close to sixty, perhaps because Ive lived a full life, and somehow along the way, I buried all those old jealousys, that might pop up in old age.

#1552 11/19/2006 Two poems given by Divine Sunlight

Note: Here are two new poems Dennis wrote during lunch at El Parquetito’s, Cafe in Miraflores, Lima, Peru, while the sun was upon him. He seems to think deeper at certain places, as in St. Paul, Minnesota, he has selected the Coffee House, in Har Mar Mall, it is not called that, but it is that. A poet needs a place that he feels comfortable in, and quiet. I often just leave him wherever for hours while he does his thing; he reads and writes some five to ten hours a day (between 300 and 3000 words a day, he reads and writes). These two poems, I kind of think they are somewhat divinely inspired, or as he called them, Divine Sunlight. It can’t hurt I suppose. Rosa
